Activity Alerts
Choose which recorded orders, payments and shift events reach your devices.
Activity Alerts is an optional, managed per-location add-on. It is separate from the base plan, Stock & Recipes and Purchasing. Check the location's Plan and add-ons; packages cover 5,000, 20,000 or 50,000 monthly activities and up to three receiving devices.
Set up
- Ask Rendo to activate the location's agreed package or trial.
- Open Settings → App and notifications with an authorized dashboard account.
- Enable notifications on this device, then opt it into Activity Alerts.
- Choose the events you want; new event preferences start off.
- Test the setup on the actual receiving device.
Owners and organization administrators qualify. A location manager needs a linked, authorized dashboard membership at that same location; a cashier PIN alone is not dashboard access.
What triggers an alert
- Orders: confirmed counter/QR payments or the first staff-submitted table round, not unpaid QR submissions or later rounds.
- Payments: confirmed counter sales or the final table settlement, not partial table payments.
- Cancellations and voids: successfully recorded cancellation or item-void actions.
- Cash differences: a successfully closed shift with a nonzero difference.
Counter order/payment preferences produce one push per recipient for the same sale, not two. Tapping opens the authenticated order or shift detail. Alerts report recorded transactions, not sales never entered into Rendo.
Allowance and delivery
One eligible activity uses one allowance unit when queued for opted-in recipients, regardless of device count or retries. Usage resets by calendar month in the location timezone. At the allowance boundary a short grace applies, then activity pushes pause; sales, payments, printing and audit records continue. There is no automatic upgrade or overage charge. A larger package resumes new alerts, not a backlog of paused ones.
